BRIDGE Extended (two more weekends)

So the holidays have come and gone and life is slowly returning to its regular pace. We are all resuming our everyday tasks and some of us are making sure to include a bit of extra physical activities to get rid of the few pounds that we acquired during the holiday season. Especially those of us who have to wear a dress. Boy ... women do have it tough. Not because they should look or be like anything that the media sells as the perfect body, but because if you buy a dress of a certain size, it only takes a few extra pounds to make it impossible to fit back into it. Guys don't really have to worry about that. We just don't get it. I didn't until a couple months ago ... but now I DO.

I'm finding myself stressing out about wearing a dress in two days. Yes, back on that dress and the high heels again, exciting nonetheless.

So WOMAN is back, or NIKI as I like to call her. Our play BRIDGE has been extended for two more weekends. I am thrilled to get back on that stage with my wonderful cast mates. Positive critic reviews and phenomenal audiences feedback encouraged our producer David Svengalis to add two more weekends to the run.

One of those amazing reviews was published just days before our last show. It appeared in LA Theater Review and the critic was Tracy Paleo. On my performance Ms. Paleo says, "Mr. Lopez’s performance slaps us awake from the delusion of “fun gay friends” straight to “human being” filled with a craving for connection. He is simply and sadly wonderful." You can read the entire review here.

This time I get a chance to rotate with both lead performers William Stanford Davis and Leslie A. Jones. If you have seen me with one and not the other, I will encourage you to come back and see it again. They are both equally powerful, and yet two very different experiences.

This time you can get tickets at 50 percent discount on plays411. It's easy. Once on the page for Bridge, click on the left where it says (Discount). Follow the instructions. You just have to sign up like with the site Goldstar. That way you get to purchase tickets half off.

Starting January 5th, I will be performing Thursdays and Saturdays ONLY. Thursdays with Mr. Jones and Saturdays with Mr. Davis until January 14th.

BRIDGE is still playing at The Complex in The Ruby Theater.
